Outdoor Racking Installation

Customer Requirement

The customer needed to store and gain access to a large quantity of palletised pipe couplings. These had traditionally been stored outside in the yard, at floor level.

CSS Solution

84 bays of Galvanized adjustable pallet racking were installed and levelled on the yards concrete slab. The galvanized pallet racking was stability tested to store up to 5 pallets high in outdoor conditions.

Each pallet racking beam level was shelved with open boarded timber decking, to allow the customer to place any size of pallet onto any beam level. The timber decking was treated with Tannalith preservative, for outdoor use.

The single run of racking was fitted at the rear with a galvanized anti-collapse screen, starting at the fence line height and fixed to the top of the extended pallet racking end frames, 1000mm above the height of the top beam level.
